Urology Nevada is the result of two widely respected specialist groups – Urologic Surgeons and Nevada Urology – merging to form the largest urologic care practice in the Northern half of the Silver State. Prior to the union, both practices had been seeing patients since the late 1960’s. Urology Nevada called upon Ding Communications to create a new brand identity, one that connected with patients and colleagues, while reflecting the professionalism and expertise found at UN. Following an extensive research process, including interviews with key doctors in the practice and the group’s CEO, Ding’s creative team put pen to paper. After producing a seemingly endless array of composite marks, the final identity unanimously selected by the practice’s doctors cleverly identifies the practice’s geographic locale while communicating strength, competence and compassion through color and type usage.

Urology Nevada quickly adopted the brand and has implemented it throughout its network, including all marketing materials, business system, signage and collateral.

Goals:

  • Research and discover those particular characteristics that distinguish Urology Nevada
  • Develop an identity that relays the deep sense of commitment the practice has for patients and families
  • Develop a mark that can be readily employed across the media spectrum, including signage, business system, apparel, etc.
  • Develop a logo mark that is instantly recognized as Urology Nevada’s for patients and colleagues

Results:

After initial presentation, the doctors quickly determined that one mark stood out above the 14 others presented. It was refined to its current design.
