Reno Lawn & Landscape is a Truckee Meadows landscaping icon. But icon or not, the concern of a dour economy impacting spring sign ups and renewals weighed heavily on both Reno Lawn and Ding.

With little fanfare, it was quickly decided to counter a gloomy economy with a positive new campaign.

Goals:

  • Definitively characterize Reno Lawn & Landscape’s role in the market
  • Develop positioning that honestly reflects Reno Lawn’s corporate culture and core values
  • Drive new calls for incremental services and seasonal promotions
  • Retain current customers by strongly (re)emphasizing value propositions

Results:

Positioning and Branding: The “Enjoy Life. We’ll Do the Work.” honestly characterizes the company. The branding spread like a wildfire within the Reno Lawn offices and it was quickly embraced by all. Just as important however to developing the new brand was that ringing sensation. Reno Lawn saw a dramatic increase in phone calls for services and landscape installs from the moment the commercials broke and throughout the run of the campaign. They were able to exceed their sales goals even in the midst of a down economy, in addition to revitalizing a new-customer base and solidifying the foundation of return customers.
