July 9, 2012 – Greater Nevada Credit Union, a Ding Communications, Inc. client, was named a 2012 ACE Award winner at the Reno-Tahoe American Marketing Association’s annual awards ceremony. The credit union won for its :30 “Embarrassing Car Syndrome” TV commercial. The ACE Awards acknowledge the area’s best marketing for the past year.
The spot, created and produced by Ding, was part of an overall campaign to grow the credit union’s automotive-lending business. The campaign helped achieve the goal. Year-to-date figures showed that Greater Nevada’s auto lending increased from $1.58 million in Nov. 2010, to $4.1 million by Nov. 2011.
“This campaign did everything it was supposed to do,” said Greg Fine, a principal at Ding. “It clearly tickled a sensitive spot among the car-buying target, while positioning Greater Nevada as the loal lender that will help buyers get a car that doesn’t embarrass them.”
This year’s ACE Awards were judged by an AMA chapter from North Carolina. Awards were also presented for web and digital design, print advertising, public relations, cause marketing and overall integrated campaign.
In addition to television, the ECS the campaign included print, outdoor, pay per click and online display banners, in-branch collateral and email marketing. Click here to see the complete campaign.
